The ceiling and the absences
On this page11
The ceiling is the finding, not the median
The largest container indexed to this group is 120 mL and there are 2 of them. Nothing above. A shampoo or a conditioner needs four times that.
And the shelf is concentrated at the bottom
30 of the 80 containers are 30 mL, 14 are 118 mL, 11 are 15 mL and 11 are 59 mL. Four sizes account for 66 of the 80.
Nine containers are under 15 mL
3 at 10 mL, 3 at 7 mL and 3 at 5 mL. Sample sizes, which no leaf in this group is for.
The second absence is the dispensing closure
198 closures and not one pump, sprayer, mist sprayer or foamer. For four of the six leaves that is the article the product is defined by.
The third is format
No tin and no tube on this shelf, which rules out the two balm leaves and the dental gel leaf before capacity is even considered.
The inventory itself is written up next door
Families, colors and neck finishes are a near-subset of the aromatherapy shelf, which shares this archetype, and that property enumerates them. No point stating it twice.
What is worth stating here is the buying position
77 of the 80 containers are full case only. Three are not, and they are a 120 mL blue glass packer bottle at a case pack of 42, a 50 mL amber boston round, and a 59 mL clear boston round with no case pack recorded.
Case packs are large
42 to 768, with a median of 264. The commonest are 288 on 9 containers and 240 on 8, so a typical commitment here is a few hundred units.
Unit prices are low
21 cents to $2.24 with a median of 56 cents, and 14 cents to $1.60 at case pricing with a median of 43. So the cost is in the quantity rather than in the piece.
Which makes the wrong container an expensive mistake
A case of 288 bottles at 56 cents is not a large sum and it is 288 bottles that suit one of the six leaves.
