Containers

The small end and the tall end

On this page11
Both ends of this shelf are thin. And both are needed by different leaves.

This group wants two opposite things from one shelf

A seed bead collection wants many very small containers. A crystal point wants a tall one. Neither is where this shelf is deepest.

The small end runs out quickly

Seventeen of 184 containers hold 15 milliliters or less. Twenty seven hold 30 or less. Fifty nine hold 60 or less. The median is 118.3 milliliters, which is already large for one bead color.

So a sorted bead set is working in the bottom third of the shelf

And the 14 rows at an 18DIN neck finish are part of that, because 18DIN is the narrowest finish here by a wide margin.

The tall end is thinner still

Heights run 0.50 to 6.75 inches with a median of 2.38, recorded for 172 of 184 rows. A crystal point of any size is asking for the upper part of that range.

And a tall container here is usually also a narrow one

Which is the trade the embroidery property measured in full on a neighboring shelf: the tall rows are bottles and narrow jars, and reach into a narrow column is poor.

The middle of the shelf is where the depth is

One hundred and forty one of 184 containers hold 250 milliliters or less and 70 hold 118 or less, so the band between about 60 and 250 milliliters is the best supplied part by a wide margin.

Which suits cabochons and tumbled beads and suits nothing else here

A wide shallow container in that band is the right answer for flat stones and rounded beads, and the wrong answer for both seed beads and points.

Twelve rows record no height at all

And six record no neck finish. Those rows return nothing to a dimensional or closure filter, which makes the shelf look narrower than it is rather than wider.

Three rows use a millimeter neck notation

A 38MM form, on a shelf where every other recorded finish uses the dash notation. The personal small items property sets out what that costs: a string match cannot connect the two forms.

And availability is a snapshot that moves

One hundred and twenty two of 184 containers were marked available when this was measured on 19 October 2026, 61 were not, and one is unrecorded. The page says which day on purpose.

The Davis Pack Supply catalog, measured 19 October 2026. 184 containers and 265 closures. Capacity 5 to 500 mL with a median of 118.3: 17 at or under 15 mL, 27 at or under 30, 59 at or under 60, 70 at or under 118 and 141 at or under 250. 154 jars, 29 bottles and one tube. Height 0.50 to 6.75 inches with a median of 2.38, recorded for 172 of 184. Neck finishes: 41 at 70-400, 34 at 58-400, 34 at 89-400, 16 at 53-400, 14 at 18DIN and 12 at 48-400, with 6 recording none and 3 using a 38MM form. The closures are led by 180 continuous thread polypropylene lids and 42 metal or aluminum CT caps, then 22 PP dome lids and 9 sealing discs. Availability, a snapshot and not a promise: 122 of 184 marked available, 61 not, one unrecorded. These are outside dimensions.
The Davis Pack Supply catalog, measured 19 October 2026. Of the 184 containers on this shelf, 76 are recorded as clear and 4 as frosted, so 80 pass light in some form. 32 are amber and 2 dark amber, which is 34 that block it. The remaining 70 are 24 white, 18 black, 16 blue, 9 green and 3 natural. By material the shelf is 119 PET, 41 glass and 24 polypropylene. Cross-tabulated, 54 of the light-passing rows are clear PET, 21 are clear glass and 3 are frosted glass. No row on this shelf is recorded as clear polypropylene; the closest are the 3 recorded as natural, which is unpigmented polypropylene and translucent rather than clear. The record states a color name and not an optical property, and clear, frosted and natural denote three different optical states that the record does not grade.
Written from 16 CFR part 23 and from the catalog as it stood on 19 October 2026. Part 23 contains the Federal Trade Commission guides for the jewelry, precious metals and pewter industries and addresses how a seller may describe a stone or a pearl; it does not govern containers, and it does not reach any row on this shelf. Nothing here states the identity, origin, grade, value or treatment of any stone, and nothing here is grading, appraisal or authentication guidance. The catalog records a container color, not an optical performance, and no page converts one into the other.
