The shelf
On this page11
What is here
310 rows: 76 containers and 234 closures. 500 mL to 18,927 mL with a median of 2,514, which is the largest median of any property here.
By material
60 HDPE, 14 PP and 2 LDPE. No glass, no PET and no steel, which for an industrial chemical store is the right set.
By format
30 tubs and pails, 23 bottles, 12 jars and 11 jugs. Bulk formats rather than small ones, which matches the archetype window of 100 to 20,000 mL.
By capacity
65 containers over a quart, 34 over a gallon and 6 at five gallons. This is the only property in the library where most of the shelf is above a quart.
What is not recorded
Whether any of them carries a UN specification mark. That is the defining attribute of two of the four leaves and our catalog has no field for it.
Which is a data gap rather than a shelf gap
Some of this may well be marked. We do not publish it, so we cannot say, and a buyer cannot establish it from our pages.
The F style bottle is the one specifically right shape
9 of them. Square in plan, stackable, flat sided, which is the traditional industrial carried-liquid format.
The pails carry the absorbent
9 plastic round pails and 9 PP round tubs, with 10 tub and pail lids to close them. For the one leaf this shelf genuinely serves.
Almost nothing is clear
46 white, 23 natural, 4 black and 2 clear. An industrial store does not need to see the contents and natural polyethylene lets a level show through, which is the practical compromise.
How to shop it
For absorbent and general stores, the pails and the F style bottles. For anything being shipped as a hazardous material, a supplier who certifies and documents the packaging.
