What this property does not cover

On this page15
The statement wordings only.

Not the prominence requirements

The section requires the statements to be displayed with warning symbols and to meet prominence and conspicuousness requirements. Those are described rather than quoted.

Not the type size

Five properties in this library quote type size rules of other kinds, and this is not one of them. The formatting provisions here were not obtained verbatim.

Not the small parts test method

Which is the cylinder test, and the model parts property covers it including the deliberate decision not to reproduce the figure.

Not whether any article is a small part

That follows from the test rather than from a judgment, and it is not determined here.

Not lead or phthalate content

Which are separate rules with their own thresholds. The trains and dioramas property covers the lead paint limit.

Not tracking labels

Children's products carry further marking requirements that are not described anywhere here.

And not state law

Which adds requirements in some states and which a national catalog cannot speak to.

What is here is the six sentences

Quoted exactly, with the two age thresholds and the four hazards they cover.

Plus the intended-use clause

Which decides whether any of them is required and is the finding for this group.

Plus the small end of the shelf, measured

16 containers under 30 mL out of 245, with two hinged containers half an inch tall and a lip balm tube as the smallest.

Three things, each checkable

Two from the regulation and one from our product pages.

And one thing stated plainly

No container prevents a choking hazard, which is the only safety claim on these pages and it is a negative one.

Nor the secondary packaging the statement usually goes on

A carton, a card or a blister, which is where a 50 character sentence and a symbol fit. We sell primary containers and nothing here covers the rest.

The rest belongs with somebody qualified

Particularly the intended-use determination, which decides everything else.

16 CFR 1500.19(b), cautionary statements required in the wording given: "CHOKING HAZARD--Small parts. Not for children under 3 yrs."; "CHOKING HAZARD--Small ball. Not for children under 3 yrs."; "CHOKING HAZARD--Small ball. Not for children under 8 yrs."; "CHOKING HAZARD--Marble. Not for children under 3 yrs."; "CHOKING HAZARD--Marble. Not for children under 8 yrs."; and "CHOKING HAZARD--Balloon. Children under 8 yrs. can choke or suffocate on uninflated or broken balloons." The section also requires the statements to be displayed with warning symbols and to meet prominence and conspicuousness requirements set out elsewhere in it; those are described rather than quoted here. The statements attach to toys and other articles intended for use by children, and nothing on these pages determines whether any product is one. law.cornell.edu
The Davis Pack Supply catalog, measured 19 October 2026. Of the 245 containers in this group, capacity runs 5.5 to 500 mL with a median of 177, and only 16 are under 30 mL, 7 under 15 and 3 under 10. The smallest is a 5.5 mL white polypropylene lip balm tube, 2.375 inches tall and 0.617 inches across, which is the narrowest container on any shelf measured in this library. The next two are a pair of polypropylene hinged containers at 7.4 mL, 0.5 inches tall and 1.5 inches across, in black and clear. Then four polypropylene double wall round base jars at 14.8 mL and four glass boston rounds at 15 mL. The shelf then climbs away, with 47 containers at 237 mL and 44 at 118.
Written from 16 CFR 1500.19(b) and from the catalog as it stood on 19 October 2026. Those statements attach to toys and other articles intended for use by children, and nothing here determines whether any product is one; the same marble sold to an adult collector sits in a different regime. The prominence, type size and symbol requirements elsewhere in the section are described rather than quoted, and the small parts test method is covered in the model parts property. No container prevents a choking hazard.
