What we can and cannot answer
On this page11
On (a), reactive, additive or absorptive
We publish a five-point Chemical Resistance rating per material class. Glass scores 5 of 5 and polypropylene 4 of 5, and that is the whole of what we say about chemistry.
Which is a screening tool and not a finding
A rating on a resin family cannot tell you whether a particular drug sorbs into a particular wall. It narrows the field and it does not settle anything.
On (b), protection against external factors
We publish a temperature range on 410 of the 486 rows in this group, which is a genuine specification and directly relevant to storage conditions.
And a liner on 350 of them
Which is the other half of a container closure system. The liner is the surface in contact and it is recorded on most of the closures here.
On (c), clean and where indicated sterilized
We have nothing. No container or closure in this catalog is supplied sterile or depyrogenated, and we publish no data on either.
That is the hard stop for a sterile preparation
Not a limitation to work around. If the nature of the drug indicates sterilization, this catalog is not where the container comes from.
On (d), written standards and methods of testing
We publish a specification table: color, material, case pack, neck finish, height, temperature range, liner, width, capacity. That is a product description.
A specification is a different document
With acceptance criteria, test methods and a certificate against them. We issue none, and no extractables or leachables data exists on our side.
So the honest division is two of four
We can contribute to (a) as a first filter and to (b) with real numbers. We contribute nothing to (c) and a description rather than a document to (d).
Stated at the top rather than discovered
Because a compounder who assumes a packaging catalog supplies container closure qualification data has assumed something that is not true here.
