The shelf

What is here
1,261 rows: 628 containers and 633 closures. 5 mL to 2,000 mL with a median of 237.
By material
342 PET, 110 glass, 94 HDPE, 73 PP and 9 steel. PET for the bottles and the single wall jars, glass for the dropper end, PP where heat matters.
By format
349 bottles, 260 jars, 9 tins, 5 tubs and pails, 3 jugs and 2 tubes. Read as a bottle shelf and a jar shelf of comparable size.
By capacity
370 containers over 6 oz, 330 over 8 oz, 187 over 16 oz and 54 over 32 oz. There is a real large end here, which the archetype's 500 mL ceiling did not anticipate.
Which is the first gap, and it is in our favor
Salon back-bar shampoo and conditioner live at a litre and the archetype stops at 500 mL. The shelf came out better than the rule, with 54 containers over a quart.
The second gap is the tubes
Two of them. Pomade, styling cream, curl cream and leave-in are all commonly sold in tubes and this shelf has two. That is a real absence rather than a preference.
The third is pressure
Nothing here is a pressurized container, so an aerosol dry shampoo or a hairspray cannot be packed from this shelf at all. Half of one leaf is unserved.
The families that carry the work
131 PET single wall jars, 81 PET packers, 64 glass Boston rounds, 48 PET Boston rounds and 46 HDPE packers. Those five are most of the useful shelf.
The packer is the Drug Facts bottle
Straight wall, generous label panel, 89-400 and 70-400 necks well represented at 86 and 58. If a monograph claim is coming, this is the format that can carry the panel.
How to shop it
Format first, which is dictated by viscosity. Then label area, which is dictated by the claim. Then the closure, which is where the user experience lives.
