Closures and liners
On this page11
The closures
167 continuous thread polypropylene lids, 32 metal or aluminum CT caps, 21 dome lids, 19 CT CRC, 8 sealing discs, 2 phenolic, 2 dairy lids, 2 metal overshell lids, 1 tamper evident lid, 1 plug seal lid.
The liners are the real content
81 heat induction seal, 38 F217, 30 pressure sensitive, 28 No Liner, 23 PE foam, 21 unrecorded, 15 Plastis standard, 14 foam, 2 polycone.
Heat induction seal is the largest group
81 of 255, which is a genuinely good position for this category. A bonded foil is the moisture barrier a gummy needs.
And it is a one-time seal
So the closure underneath has to reseal afterwards, which for a 60 count jar opened daily is the second half of the decision.
F217 is the resealing answer
38 closures. Foamed polyethylene that keeps sealing through repeated opening, which is the right pairing with an induction seal.
49 of 255 have no liner or no record
28 recorded as No Liner and 21 blank. On a shelf for hygroscopic confections that is the first fifth to eliminate.
And a blank is not a claim
It is an absence of data. We do not guess at a liner, so blank means ask rather than assume there is none.
Child resistance is 19 of 255
Which for a product that looks like candy is the number to think about. What is required is not described here and the count is a count.
One tamper evident lid
Out of 255. For a supplement sold at retail, tamper evidence usually comes from the induction seal rather than from the closure, and the induction seals are there.
21 dome lids
Which add headroom without capacity. For a gummy that should not be compressed by its own lid, that is the reason to choose one.
