The shelf

What is here
1,075 rows: 579 containers and 496 closures, derived from three archetypes across nine leaves, from 10 to 9,464 mL.
By material
276 PET, 203 HDPE, 85 glass, 14 polypropylene and 1 LDPE. HDPE is the workhorse for anything with a solvent or a UV-sensitive active in it.
By family
76 PET Boston rounds, 67 glass Boston rounds, 64 PET packers, 48 PET imperial bullet cosmos, 30 PE cylinder rounds, 51 HDPE packers across two spellings of the family name and 18 PE imperial bullet cosmos.
The bulk end
42 containers at a litre or more. That is the answer for a bulk granular product or a large concentrate, and it is a short list rather than a deep one.
The closures are where the depth is
496 of them, including 30 child resistant, 19 trigger sprayers and 18 spouted. For a category where the pour and the dose are regulated, that is the half of the shelf that earns its place.
The dropper assemblies belong to the small end
43 of them, serving rooting hormone and anything else dosed a drop at a time. They would be out of place on a concentrate and they are not there for one.
How to shop it
Classification first, then concentrate or ready-to-use, then neck finish, then size. The neck has to satisfy the rinse requirement and any child resistant requirement at the same time, so it goes before the bottle.
Why the median is so low
Six of the nine leaves are liquids in a 250 to 4000 mL window and one is a 10 to 250 mL hormone, so the small end carries most of the catalog depth. The granular archetype reaches 8000 mL and has far fewer containers behind it.
Glass is here for a reason
85 glass containers, 67 of them Boston rounds. For a light-sensitive active in a small volume, amber glass is the conservative answer, and this is the category where that comes up most.
