The wax finish tin

Why it is separate
The other five products are liquids between 50 and 1000 mL, poured or brushed. A wax finish is a soft solid taken out on a cloth, and it lives in a small wide container that opens rather than dispenses.
Which archetype it uses
The small tin signature, 5 to 70 mL, wide mouth, no dispensing closure. The same packaging problem as a beard balm or a salve, reached from a completely different craft.
The steel tins on this shelf
Nine of them. A slip lid steel tin has no separate closure and no liner, which sidesteps the liner compatibility question entirely, and steel is indifferent to the solvents in a wax finish.
And it is what the customer expects
A furniture wax comes in a tin. It has done for a century, the tin is what a restorer reaches for, and a wax finish in a plastic jar reads as a cheaper product whether or not it is.
The lid is not a seal
A slip lid keeps dust out and keeps solvent in only loosely. For a wax that is usually acceptable because the product is nearly solid. For a thinner wax with a volatile carrier it is worth testing how much is left after a year.
Label area on a tin
A curved wall, a lid that slips over it, and very little flat surface. The hazard block still has to be a rectangle at a regulated type size on the principal display panel, which on a small tin is a real constraint rather than a formality.
Do not let the label seal the tin
A label that crosses the lid line glues the tin shut the first time somebody opens it. Either stop the label short of the seam deliberately, or cut it at the seam, and decide which rather than discovering it.
