Containers

The fourteen

On this page12
Ten of fourteen on an authorized quantity. Which is better than it had any right to be.

What is here

105 rows: 14 containers and 91 closures. The smallest container count of any property in this library.

Three at 354.882 millilitres

12 fluid ounces, which is the 355 millilitre standard. A glass beverage bottle, a glass syrup bottle and a glass sauce bottle.

Seven at 473.176 millilitres

16 fluid ounces, which is the 473 millilitre standard. Two glass sauce bottles and five glass boston rounds, three of them amber.

So ten of fourteen are on a permitted quantity

Which is a far better hit rate than a US customary shelf should get against a metric list, and it is only because 355 and 473 were added to the list.

One at 709.764 millilitres

A 24 oz PET imperial bullet cosmo. The 700 millilitre standard is 9.764 millilitres below it, which is a workable fill.

Three at 946.352 millilitres

32 oz glass boston rounds, one amber and two clear. The nearest standard is 1 litre, and a quart is not on the list.

Thirteen of fourteen are glass

The one PET is the 24 oz bottle. For a fermented beverage glass is the right wall and the ratio here is right.

Color is half right

9 clear, 4 amber, 1 frosted clear glass. Amber protects and clear sells, and for a cider that will sit in a shop the amber ones are the four to look at.

Twelve of fourteen are full case only

With case packs of 12, 30, 48, 60, 72 and 102. The 12 and the 30 are the approachable ones for a first run.

The sauce and syrup bottles are the tell

Three of the ten standard-sized containers are a glass sauce bottle, a glass syrup bottle or both. They arrived on this shelf because the volume matched, not because anyone put a cider in one.

And twelve of fourteen are available

Measured as a snapshot on one day, with two quote only. For a fourteen container shelf that is most of it.

The Davis Pack Supply catalog, measured 19 October 2026. This group returns 105 rows: 14 containers and 91 closures, the smallest container count of any property in this library. Ten of the fourteen sit on an authorized standard of fill: three at 354.882 mL, which is the 355 mL standard, and seven at 473.176 mL, which is the 473 mL standard. Four do not: one at 709.764 mL, which misses the 700 mL standard by 9.764 mL, and three at 946.352 mL, whose nearest standard is 1 liter. 13 are glass and 1 is PET. 9 clear, 4 amber, 1 frosted clear glass. 8 glass boston rounds, 3 glass sauce bottles, 1 glass beverage bottle, 1 glass syrup bottle, 1 PET imperial bullet cosmo. Necks: 8 at 28-400, 3 at 38-400, 2 at 33-400, 1 at 28-410, all continuous thread.
The Davis Pack Supply catalog, measured 19 October 2026. The 91 closures in this group: 57 continuous thread polypropylene lids, 12 metal or aluminum CT caps, 8 flip top caps, 5 PS CT lids, 3 spouted caps, 2 phenolic, 2 PP dome lids, 1 PS dome lid, 1 dairy lid. Checked catalog-wide on the same day, this catalog holds no crown cap, swing top, cork or champagne wire hood, so a sparkling or carbonated product cannot be closed from it. The beer property sets out that finding in full. Buyability, a snapshot: 12 of 14 containers available, 12 of 14 full case only, 2 quote only, with case packs of 12, 30, 48, 60, 72 and 102.
Written from 27 CFR 4.72 and 4.10 and from the catalog as it stood on 19 October 2026. The standards of fill regulate the quantity bottled rather than the bottle, so a non-standard container filled to a standard quantity is awkward rather than prohibited. Whether part 4 applies at all turns on the alcohol content of the product, which is not something a container catalog knows. Nothing here addresses bonded premises, formula approval, label approval, excise tax, net contents formatting, or state law. This catalog holds no crown cap, swing top, cork or champagne hood, so a sparkling product cannot be closed from it.
