Body care

One thing is prohibited, and rinse-off is the trigger

Updated

On this page6
Federal law prohibits manufacturing or introducing into interstate commerce a rinse-off cosmetic containing intentionally-added plastic microbeads, defined as any solid plastic particle under five millimeters intended to exfoliate or cleanse. A scrub is rinsed off and a butter is not, so the same particle is prohibited in one and not the other.

Getting started

Before the first batch.

The prohibition

Size, purpose, and rinse-off.

The formats

Nine leaves, two archetypes, one missing tin.

Containers
